Calvin AI — Proposal A: Launch on Delphi.ai

Prepared for: Calvin Prepared by: Thomas Cobley Date: 2 July 2026 Option: A of 2 (see also Proposal B: Calvion — Custom Build)

1. What you asked for

An AI version of you, trained on your own material (starting with your meeting transcripts), that your audience — or your team, or your clients — can talk to. Three modes came up:

  1. Chat — a ChatGPT-style text conversation, answering in your voice and perspective.
  2. Voice — a real-time phone-style call with your cloned voice.
  3. Video talking-head — you, on camera, delivering the answers.

This proposal covers doing that on Delphi.ai, the leading "digital mind" platform (backed by Sequoia, Founders Fund, and Anthropic's Anthology Fund). Proposal B covers building it custom.

2. The honest headline on Delphi

Two things you should know up front, because they shape this decision:

  • Delphi does chat and real-time voice extremely well, today. Setup is genuinely fast, the voice cloning is strong, and flagship creators are earning real money on it.
  • Delphi's video talking-head is not currently available. It launched in 2025 (powered by Tavus), then Delphi pulled it in September 2025 because it "wasn't meeting the quality bar." It is on no tier today, with an intent to relaunch but no committed date. If the on-camera version is essential to you now, Delphi cannot guarantee it — that is the main reason to look at Proposal B.

On "the same level as Hormozi": Alex Hormozi's public AI is not on Delphi — it's his own platform, ACQ AI ($3,000 setup + $299/mo), and his team uses Tavus for video. So the true "Hormozi-level" reference point is a custom, fully-owned clone (that's Proposal B). On Delphi, the equivalent "top-level" is the Immortal tier — the celebrity/public-figure tier with white-glove build-out — and confirmed flagship creators there include Codie Sanchez, Matthew Hussey, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Dr. Mark Hyman. Matthew Hussey's Delphi has reportedly generated seven figures.

3. What Delphi gives you

CapabilityOn DelphiNotes
Text chat✅ YesTrained only on your content; you can read every conversation and edit answers, which retrains the model.
Real-time voice call✅ Yes, all tiersPhone-style live calls, 40+ languages. "Pro Voice" (higher-fidelity clone) on the Scaler tier.
Video talking-head⚠️ Not availablePulled Sept 2025; relaunch intended, no date. Do not count on it.
Trained on your transcripts✅ YesUploads (PDF/DOC/audio/video up to 5 GB/file) + auto-sync from Google Drive, Notion, Granola, YouTube, podcasts, social. Transcription/diarization via AssemblyAI, with click-through citations to the source moment.
Persona & guardrails✅ YesTone/style controls, a strict↔creative slider (answer only from your content vs. allowed to reason beyond it), topic guardrails, custom instructions, fallback messages.
Analytics✅ Builder+What people ask, active visitors, session length, contact directory, lead capture, CRM sync (Scaler+).
Deployment✅ YesPublic profile URL + website embed widget; Slack (Builder+); SMS/WhatsApp/Telegram/REST API (Immortal only).
Monetization⚠️ Immortal onlyPaid membership tiers, pay-as-you-go, charge for calls. Delphi's revenue-share is not publicly disclosed — we'd confirm before you rely on it.

4. Recommended plan

Route: Start on Scaler ($299/mo, billed annually). It unlocks Pro Voice (the good clone), 12M training words, custom domain, CRM sync, and 10 embed locations — enough to run this as a real audience-facing product. Free/Builder are fine to prototype, but Scaler is the "launch it properly" tier.

If you want monetization, API access, SMS/WhatsApp, or white-glove setup: you'll need Immortal (custom-priced, celebrity/public-figure tier). We'd get a quote from Delphi.

Phasing:

  1. Week 1 — Content & voice. Gather transcripts + best existing content, record the Pro Voice sample (30 min+ of clean audio), configure persona/guardrails. Basic mind live in ~a day; refined over the week.
  2. Week 2–3 — Train & tune. Load transcript corpus, use Interview/Training mode to fill gaps, test against real questions, tighten tone and citations.
  3. Week 4 — Deploy. Embed on your site, set the public URL, wire Slack if useful, hand over.
  4. Ongoing — Manage. Review conversations weekly, correct answers (which retrains), add new transcripts.

5. Investment

Delphi platform (paid to Delphi):

ItemCost
Scaler tier (annual)$299/mo (~$3,588/yr)
Immortal tier (only if you need monetization/API/SMS)Custom — request quote
Optional Delphi "Built-for-You" managed setup~$3,000 one-time (reported; verify in-account)

My service fee:

ItemRecommended
Setup & training (content prep, voice, persona, embed, QA)£2,500–£4,000 one-time
Ongoing management (weekly review, retraining, new content)£600–£1,200/mo (optional; you can self-manage)

All-in to launch: roughly £2,500–£4,000 one-time + ~$299/mo platform (+ optional management). Materially cheaper and faster than a custom build — the trade-off is no video today and less control (see §6).

6. Where Delphi falls short

  • No video talking-head right now — the feature you most wanted is unavailable and unscheduled.
  • Data lives on Delphi's platform, under their terms. For sensitive meeting transcripts this matters. Content is creator-owned, encrypted, and not used to train external models, but there is no stated SOC 2 certification, and you can't self-host or export/port the trained mind.
  • No model choice and limited deep customisation — you get Delphi's UX and features, not your own.
  • Monetization is gated to Immortal and the revenue-share isn't disclosed.

7. Recommendation

Delphi is the right call if the priority is speed and low effort — chat + voice live in weeks, minimal maintenance, proven flagship creators. It is the wrong call if the video talking-head is non-negotiable now, or if data ownership/control matter — in which case see Proposal B (Calvion), which delivers video today and keeps everything on infrastructure you own.

A reasonable hybrid: launch chat + voice on Delphi now, and build Calvion's video layer in parallel if the on-camera experience proves essential.

Figures on Delphi features/pricing verified against delphi.ai and docs.delphi.ai as of early 2026. Items marked "reported/verify" are third-party and should be confirmed with Delphi before contract.
